The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is a Commonwealth Statutory Authority that provides support and commercial services to the Australian maritime industry. AMSA is responsible for setting and regulating standards for the operation of commercial shipping, the operation of an extensive network of marine navigation aids around the Australian coast, aviation and maritime search and rescue and the protection of the marine environment.

From time to time, AMSA needs to engage the assistance and support of the private sector to deliver the services associated with the above.

AMSA adheres to the Commonwealth Purchasing Guidelines on competitive tendering and to satisfy certain other requirements when acquiring goods and services. This is achieved by the calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) and/or the issuing of Requests for Tender (RFT).

All EOIs and / or RFTs will be advertised and published on AusTender and not on this website.

AMSA also publishes an Annual Procurement Plan (APP) on AusTender, the Australian Government's procurement information system. The APP contains information on AMSA's anticipated major procurements for the coming financial year.
