Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport and Regional Services, De-Anne Kelly, today announced the appointment of the new Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, Mr Graham Peachey.
Mrs Kelly said Mr Peachey was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Food Standards Australia New Zealand, a statutory authority in the Health and Ageing portfolio.
“Mr Peachey has considerable experience in public sector executive management, particularly in regulatory agencies, and a strong record of achievement both domestically and internationally, “ Mrs Kelly said.
“I am confident that with Mr Peachey’s leadership, AMSA will continue to maintain its well-deserved reputation for high quality maritime safety and marine environment protection regulation as well as aviation and marine search and rescue”, she said.
Mr Peachey follows Mr Clive Davidson, whose term has expired after serving as the CEO of AMSA for 9 years.
