Search for missing dory fisherman suspended

The search for a missing 49-year-old fisherman in the Great Barrier Reef was suspended last night.

Eight fixed wing aircraft and a helicopter yesterday searched for the man who was last seen on Saturday afternoon about 40 nautical miles east of Cape Grenville, Queensland.

The man’s upturned dory boat was located about 60 nautical miles north of Lockhart River, Queensland on Monday morning.
