Search for missing light aircraft - Queensland
Australian Search and Rescue are continuing a search today for a light aircraft, yellow in colour, overdue from a flight in central Queensland.
Twelve fixed wing aircraft will search a 3, 280 square nautical miles area between Moranbah and Charters Towers. A search by eight fixed wing aircraft yesterday afternoon failed to find a trace of the missing plane.
People living in the area between Moranbah and Charters Towers are asked to contact Australian Search and Rescue on Freecall 1800 815 257 if they heard or saw an aircraft in the area yesterday morning.
