Biography
Mr Graham Peachey was appointed as AMSA’s Chief Executive Officer on 4 May 2007.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Peachey was the Chief Executive Officer of Food Standards Australia New Zealand. He has a strong record of achievement in several regulatory bodies in health and agricultural portfolios.
Mr Peachey is a member of the Seafarers Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Authority, Australia’s representative on the Council of the International Maritime Organization and the Council of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities, Director of the Australian Maritime College (AMC) and the AMC Search Board and a member of the Australian Maritime Group, Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security, National Marine Safety Committee, Marine National Facility Steering Committee and the Lloyd’s Register Advisory Committee.
Mr Peachey has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Australian National University and has undertaken further studies in economics and law.
