Training and Induction Package
This induction and training package has been assembled with the most current publicly available environmental and scientific information.
Environment and Scientific Co-ordinators (ESC's) are appointed in each jurisdiction in Australia as part of Australia's National Plan to Combat Pollution of the Sea by Oil and Other Noxious and Hazardous Substances. The role of the ESC is to co-ordinate environmental input into response planning and decision making and to provide environmental and scientific advice and services to response teams.
The CD-ROM also includes information available on the AMSA web site. The trainee should access the ESC Toolbox site for other information and support to assist them in their duties.
This training and induction package was developed by the Environment Protection Standards of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. If you would like a copy, please email Environment Protection Standards.
