National Plan for Maritime Environmental Emergencies
The National Plan is a national integrated Government and industry organisational framework enabling effective response to marine pollution incidents and maritime casualties. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) manages the National Plan, working with State/Northern Territory (NT) governments, the shipping, ports, oil, salvage, exploration and chemical industries, and emergency services to maximise Australia's marine pollution response capability. The National Plan Strategic Co-ordination Committee (NPSCC) provides strategic management of the National Plan while three technical groups handle operational functions.
These pages outline the National Plan and its management. It also contains password protected pages which contain information relevant to National Plan Members.
