- Ship reports that 300 tonnes of light crude oil has leaked out and is continuing to flow out at a rate of 50 tonnes per hour.

- Weather conditions, southwesterly wind at 10 knots, northerly current at 1 knot.

- Assembled people at passenger terminal briefed regarding the incident.

- State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) activated.

- Aerial spraying occurring outside of breakwater and oil skimming operations is being carried out inside the breakwater.

- State Oil Spill Commander briefs State Disaster Committee (SDC) at SEOC.

- Response teams deploying equipment.

- Oil spill now into the Outer Harbour and North Haven and expected to impact on the shore to the south of the ship.

- On Scene Co-ordinator reports:
- ship leak now stopped,
- permission requested to move ship to anchorage,
- problems remain with steering gear, otherwise ready to move,
- tide now flooding,
- spraying of dispersant continues,
- wildlife 125 contaminated birds, mainly cormorants rescued for treatment, and
- oil now impacting on beaches.

- Local sea grass farmer threatens legal action regarding oiled sea grass.
- 1300 hrs
- Equipment deployment progressing well.
- 1308 hrs
- Report received of fresh oil spill (diesel) from fishing vessel at Boston Island near Port Lincoln. The diesel will be allowed to disperse naturally and no action required from Adelaide.

- Greg Beck relieves Captain Hammond as On Scene Co-ordinator at the request of the State.
- 1400 hrs
- Offshore clean up continues. North Haven booms failed but skimmers working satisfactorily. Dispersant spraying ceased on threat of injunction served by SA Fisherman’s association.

- OSC expresses concern at lack of communication. OH&S Co-ordinator reports no incidents or accidents at this time.
- 1400 hrs
- Ship now afloat and moved to anchorage for inspection.

- Foreshore clean up continues from Largs Jetty south to Semaphore Jetty.
