STCW Endorsement Guidelines for State issued certificates
Deck Certificates
Please note as of 31st December 2005 AMSA ceased issuing STCW Endorsements on State/Territory issued deck certificates, as Marine Orders Part 3 - Seagoing Qualifications has AMSA qualifications for smaller vessels, the Master less than 500GT and Mate less than 500GT certificates of competency. All existing STCW Endorsement certificates will be maintained by AMSA as long as the holder keeps their primary State certificate valid and continues to revalidate their endorsement before it's expiry date.
