Registration

To register for the 2004 National Shipping Industry conference, you have two options:

  1. Internet - On Line booking (currently unavailable)
  2. fax or post

Registration fees are $700 which includes entry to the welcome reception and conference dinner.

Payment for the conference is via two alternate methods (payment cannot be submitted online at this point in time):

  1. Credit card (fax, post, phone)
  2. Cheque (post)

Faxing and posting registration forms

To fax or post, simply complete the registration form [PDF: 42Kb] and return it to AMSA with full payment.

Please do not fax your form unless paying by credit card. Credit card payments must be paid by Bankcard, Mastercard or Visacard.

NOTE: American Express and Diners Club cards are not accepted.

Cheques should be made payable to "Australian Maritime Safety Authority" in Australian dollars.

All figures quoted on this site are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.

If you require a tax invoice to pay for the registration, please send the registration form marked "tax invoice required". A tax invoice will accompany the confirmation letter issued.

Internet - On Line booking

Delegates are able to register for the National Shipping Industry Conference online. However at present we are unable to provide full secure on line payment options. If you choose to complete the on line registration please ensure your contact details are correct, as AMSA staff will contact you to obtain your credit card information.

Travel

Delegates are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Special rates have been negotiated with Qantas for domestic travel only.

Delegate Entitlements

The $700 registration fee entitles delegates to:

Extra tickets for the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner can be purchased for $45 and $110 respectively.

We are not offering day registrations. If you wish to attend for one day, the full registration fee will be applicable.

Accommodation

Accommodation bookings should be made at the time of registration to ensure you obtain accommodation at the property of your choice. Bookings must be made on the applicable section of the registration form.

Accommodation booking must be accompanied by one night's tariff as a deposit on the booking. This amount should be included in the total registration payment. Delegates will be responsible for payment of the remainder of their accommodation and all other costs incurred during their stay at the hotel.

Accommodation bookings cannot be guaranteed by AMSA after 30 January 2004.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the conference. AMSA will not take responsibility for any participant failing to insure.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend the conference, a replacement delegate is welcome. Any substitution must be notified in writing before Wednesday 11 February 2004.

Registrations cancelled after 6 February 2004 will incur a cancellation fee of $100. Any monies to be refunded after 6 February 2004 will be provided post conference.

Any cancelled function tickets will be refunded up to 11 February 2004, refunds cannot be given after this date.

For any accommodation cancellations after 30 January 2004 delegates will forfeit one nights deposit (at the discretion of the hotel).
