Getting to and from Melbourne Airport

Melbourne Airport is located 22 km north-west of the city along the Tullamarine Freeway, which is about a 30 minute drive from the centre of the city. Both direct international and domestic flights depart from this airport using a single terminal complex. There are no curfews and the airport operates 24 hours a day.

All bus and coach services collect passengers outside of the airport terminal along the ground floor level.

City Shuttle Bus

Skybus operations an Airport to City and return shuttle service. The service departs every
15 minutes dropping off at various city locations. One-way tickets are $13.00.

Taxis

Taxi cabs are available outside of the terminal along the ground floor level. Allow approximately 40 minutes by taxi to the city centre at a cost of approx $40.00.

Rental Cars

All major Australian rental car companies have offices at the Airport. It is recommended that advance reservations be made for rental cars at all times. Rental cars can be booked from aboard most inbound flights.
