Each delegate is required to make their own travel arrangements.

Domestic Air Travel

The major domestic airlines in Australia are Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar. All three airlines travel between major Australian cities.

Rental Cars

All major Australian rental car companies have offices at the Brisbane airport. It is recommended that advance reservations be made for rental cars at all times.

Transport to Venue

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is approximately 25 minutes drive from Brisbane airport and is within easy reach of public transport and a number of additional options.

 

CityTrain

 

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre has a train stop on-site providing fast and direct access for delegates.

 

River Ferries

 

3 minutes to ferry terminal stopping at key hotels and tourist attractions.

 

Buses

 

Bus stop available within walking distance from the Convention Centre.

 

Taxis

 

Taxi rank located at the Centre’s main entrance.

 

Car Parking

 

Secure, under-cover parking for 1600 vehicles.

 

 

The Centre is within easy walking distance from hotels in the city centre, South Brisbane and the central business district.

Visas

All travellers to Australia, other than Australian and New Zealand citizens, are required to obtain a Visa to travel to Australia.

 

Depending on your current country of passport, you are encouraged to apply for the appropriate visa 4-6 weeks before departure for Australia. Your passport must have a minimum of six months validity. The Business Visit Visa allows people attending conferences and meetings in Australia to make a short visit of up to three months. Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to attending the Conference. The NATSHIP 2007 Organising Committee and Conference Secretariat do not take any responsibility for any delegate failing to insure.
