AMSA provides charts for Tagai State College navigation course

Wednesday 22 June 2016
Our search and rescue staff regularly interact with a variety of communities across Australia. Recently, AMSA Search and Rescue in Canberra assisted our staff in the Torres Strait by collating a series of charts for use at the Tagai State College.

The photo shows a class undertaking navigation studies as part of the year 11 and 12 Vocational Education and Training (VET) curriculum at the college. Mr Tim Hillier, the course coordinator, passed on his appreciation for the charts and said that they are being put to very good use. The navigation course is one of the more popular subjects for senior students.
