AMSA seeks public assistance in search for missing aircraft

AMSA’s Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC Australia) has been advised that a single engine low wing ultra-light aircraft has failed to return to Bundaberg airport after a training flight.

The aircraft had two people on board and was undertaking training within the Bundaberg training area, an area bounded by Burnett Heads, Burrum Heads, Childers and Gin Gin.

The ultra-light departed Bundaberg about 11:30am EST and was expected back no later than mid afternoon.

Anyone that may have knowledge of this aircraft is requested to ring the Rescue Coordination Centre on 1800 815 257.
