The inquest conducted by the WA Coroner, Alistair Hope, into the circumstances surrounding the capsizing of the vessel Kaniva south of Java in June 2012 has concluded.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) acknowledges the Coroner’s findings and recommendations which are being carefully reviewed.
AMSA has fully assisted the WA Police inquiry and coronial inquest and a considered response to the Coroner’s recommendations will be presented in due course.
