It is believed the man may have fallen overboard between 7:00pm Saturday night and 6:00am Sunday morning.

Since yesterday, RCC Australia has been coordinating several helicopters and AMSA’s dedicated search and rescue Dornier aircraft from Essendon in the search.

A NSW Water Police vessel was also involved in the search. Considering the sea conditions in the area, RCC Australia has received expert medical advice to suggest the man is unlikely to have survived in the water past mid-morning today.

The search concluded at 3:15pm today.

AMSA would like to thank the rescue helicopters and NSW Water Police for their assistance in the search.
