NP–GUI–027: Marine oil spill response health and safety guidance

Guidance on how to address workplace health and safety during an oil spill response, in a consistent way across sectors, agencies and circumstances.

This guidance is provided for all oil spill response workers, including incident management and operational team members throughout Australia, including all State and Commonwealth jurisdictions.

There are five parts to this guidance:

  • hazard identification and risk assessment
  • safety planning
  • personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • general references and additional reading
  • annexes with detailed information about tools, processes, templates and checklists
