Maritime Ship to Shore 2014 was Australia's inaugural national shipping and domestic commercial vessel conference.

Maritime Ship to Shore 2014 was held at Crown Melbourne, Victoria from 10-12 November 2014. Australia’s inaugural national shipping and domestic commercial vessel conference, it brought together the knowledge and resources from national and regional representatives across the maritime industry.

The focus of discussion during these two days was the latest maritime developments in regulations, safety, environment, seafarer qualifications, navigation, and search and rescue. The concurrent exhibition showcased equipment and resources from a range of Australian and international providers.

Attendees represented a range of Australian departments involved in the maritime industry, as well as international government and industry representatives. The keynote speaker, Koji Sekimizu, the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization opened the conference and paved the way for a discussion on a range of issues.

Issues discussed included current and future regulations and industry reform, safety management issues and new initiatives such as e-navigation. Discussion panels provided opportunities for spirited discussion of important issues, including seafarer welfare, surveyor accreditation, and seafarer qualifications and training.
