Wednesday 10 July 2019
We want to talk to people about the regulation of autonomous and remotely operated vessels, and invite industry input at our national forum on 19–20 September 2019.

The Australian Autonomous Vessel Forum will explore the challenges, opportunities, risks and priorities for regulation.

It will bring together leaders in the fields of autonomous vessel design, technology, operation and regulation.

The forum program includes presentations by industry and government experts, a Q&A panel, and workshop sessions to stimulate discussion.

Captain Marko Rahikainen, Chief Advisor to the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, will deliver a keynote address on Finland’s experience with technology and automation, and their goal of establishing the world’s first autonomous maritime transport system by 2025.

We are pleased to be partnering with the Trusted Autonomous Systems Defence CRC during the forum.
