Book your international certification revalidation now
The applications will come from seafarers with certificates issued under the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).
About 4,000 seafarer certificates for masters, deck and engineer officers, integrated ratings and others will expire during this short four-month window. Most of these certificates require a combination of continued competence refresher training in sea survival and firefighting, and medical fitness certificates.
Holders of Certificates of Safety Training do not require a certificate of medical fitness for revalidation.
We encourage impacted seafarers to book their continued competency refresher training courses in advance with registered training organisations and medical examination with Sonic HealthPlus and to apply early to revalidate their certificates with AMSA.
