Between 17 October and 16 December 2022, we will be focusing our attention on the prevention of pollution from domestic commercial vessels.
Our marine inspectors will be assisting vessel owners and operators to meet their obligations under the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL).
Some MARPOL regulations apply to DCVs, this includes preventing oil, sewerage, garbage, and air pollution from routine vessel operations.
The focus of the campaign is to educate the industry and help promote compliance.
