Nominations are now open for our inaugural Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) award.
This award recognises the outstanding contribution by a VTS during 2019.
The winner will be a VTS or an employee/s of a VTS that has acted beyond their normal operational scope to make a significant difference to one or more of the following principles:
- safety of life at sea
- safety and efficiency of navigation
- the protection of the marine environment.
This is an opportunity to recognise the people involved in VTS across Australia. We aim to raise the profile of VTS authorities and the services they provide in the maritime industry.
Nominations will be open to VTS authorities and their employees from Monday 2 December until 5pm, Friday 28 February.
The recipient will be presented with their award at the VTS Advisory Group meeting in April 2020.
