All commercial vessels involved in a marine incident in Australian waters must submit AMSA Form 19 within 72 hours of becoming aware of the incident [1].
There are two ways you can report a marine incident. You can use either method to notify us.

Recreational vessels should report incidents to the relevant state or territory maritime safety agency [5].

NOTE:
When you submit a report, only provide personal information requested in the form.
Additional personal information, for example, passport details are not required.
Giving false or misleading information is a serious offence under section 137.1 of the Criminal Code. Aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring a person to submit false or misleading information is also an offence.
