The Australian Government introduced reforms for skilled migration. The most recent update to the combined list of eligible skilled occupations occurred on 11 December 2019. The Department of Home Affairs [1] has made changes to the lists of eligible skilled occupations [2].
As per the most recent update to the combined list of eligible skilled occupations in December 2019, AMSA is the nominated Assessing Authority for Ship’s Master ANZSCO code 231213 [3], Ship's Engineer ANZSCO code 231212 [4], Ship's Officer ANZSCO code 231214 [4] and Marine Surveyor ANZSCO code 231215 [4].
Referring to this combined list of eligible skilled occupations, AMSA can assess immigration applications for holders of overseas STCW Engineer Officer and Deck Officer Certificates of competency and marine surveyors.
A successful immigration skills assessment by us is no guarantee that a visa will be issued by the Department of Home Affairs.
