New Marine Order 505 (Certificates of competency) commencing on 1 January 2023

The new legislative framework for these certificates must be relevant to a wide range of roles and operations, while maintaining safety standards.

AMSA have been working to develop a nationally consistent and simplified qualifications framework.

AMSA has finalised the revised Marine Order 505, which incorporates NSCV Part D and some general exemptions. This new order will come into effect on 1 January 2023.
