Throughout history, the maritime industry and its workforce have often failed to mirror the diversity found within society, falling short in providing equitable opportunities for all individuals, particularly in terms of gender identity.
We recognise that we have an important role to play in driving gender equity across the industry and we are committed to leading by example.
Our plan targets key areas to advance AMSA towards a more gender equitable future.
Read the Gender Equity Action Plan 2022-2027 [1].
International Women’s Day 2024 was an opportunity for us to reflect on the achievements we have made so far.
We’re proud to say that we have completed 88% of our planned activities with all remaining activities on track to be delivered by 2027.
