Air Marshal Mark Binskin, the Vice Chief of the Defence Force, visits AMSA

The Vice Chief of the Defence Force (VCDF), Air Marshal Mark Binskin visited the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) on 18 June and met with Chief Executive Officer, Graham Peachey for introductions and high level talks.

The Vice Chief of the Defence Force (VCDF), Air Marshal Mark Binskin visited the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) on 18 June and met with Chief Executive Officer, Graham Peachey for introductions and high level talks. Mr Peachey acknowledged that the Australian Defence Force is often called upon to support AMSA in emergency response operations by supplying assets and expertise, and the Authority felt privileged to have such professional personnel and high quality equipment at its disposal.

Air Marshal Binskin and his personnel visited the Vessel Traffic Services and Pilotage section to see the Under Keel Clearance System in action followed by a visit to the Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) and a briefing from the Emergency Response Division General Manager, John Young. The Air Marshal took time to speak with the operational team on duty.
