Between April and June 2023, we consulted on the proposed remake of Marine Order 501 (Administration-national law).
The current version commenced in 2013 and is due to expire on 1 October 2023.
Marine Order 501 contains administrative provisions for the national law and is needed to support the smooth functioning of the national system.
We are remaking Marine Order 501 with some minor changes aimed at improving clarity and readability. This will not change existing arrangements for industry.
The new Marine Order 501 is planned to commence on 1 September 2023.
