1. Introduction
By entering the "Share your lighthouse love" competition (the "Competition"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please review these Terms carefully before entering.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Competition is open to all individuals who:
- Are legal residents of Australia;
- Are 18 years of age or older; and
- Agree to these Terms and conditions.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, children) of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and its contractors are not eligible to enter.
3. Entry period
3.1 The Competition commences on 21 December 2023 at 5pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) and closes on 11 January 2024 at 5pm AEDT (the "Competition Period").
4. How to enter
4.1 To enter the Competition, you must:
Share a photo on the AMSA Facebook page showcasing an Australian lighthouse (the "Entry").
Include the hashtag #ShareYourLighthouseLove in your post.
Like the official AMSA Facebook page (optional).
4.2 Multiple entries are allowed, but only one Entry per person per day will be considered.
4.3 Any person submitting a photo must own the image and copyright over the image.
4.4 Photo entries must be:
- Submitted during the Competition Period;
- Not previously submitted in any other competition or promotion; and
- Compliant with Facebook's Terms of Service.
4.5 Photo entries must have been taken in a safe and lawful manner and in particular, must have been taken in compliance with all property access requirements and violation of Australian aviation legislation.
5. Prizes
5.1 There will be three (3) separate prize winners awarded in the Competition. A lighthouse showcase book will be given to each of the prize winners.
5.2 The winners will be chosen based on the highest number of likes and reactions by 18 January 2024 from all eligible Entries received during the Competition Period.
6. Winner notification and prize delivery
6.1 The winners will be notified by social post on Facebook within 14 days of the closing date for the competition.
6.2 To claim their prize, winners must email to AMSA within 30 days of notification and provide their full name, contact details (including email address and mailing address), and a copy of their winning Entry.
6.3 AMSA will arrange for the prizes to be posted to the winners' nominated mailing addresses within 14 days of receipt of a mailing address. Winners are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their personal information.
7. Data privacy and marketing
7.1 By entering the Competition, you consent to AMSA collecting and using your personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition and delivering the prizes. This information may include your name, email address, and mailing address.
7.2 AMSA may contact you for marketing communications based on your entry. You can opt out of these communications at any time by contacting AMSA at communications@amsa.gov.au.
7.3 AMSA will not share your personal information with any third party without your consent
8. Disclaimer
8.1 AMSA reserves the right to amend or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice, due to unforeseen circumstances or technical difficulties.
8.2 AMSA accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred as a result of entering this Competition.
9. General
9.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.
9.2 You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia in relation to any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
