Announcement | NSCV C7C updated 1 September 2025 (Edition 1.5) NSCV C7C has been updated to reflect changes from the release of NSCV Part C1 (Edition 2.0) What’s changed Clause 4.4 Navigation lights, shapes and sound signals has been updated. Old clause (removed): The type and quantity of navigation lights, navigation shapes and sound signalling equipment to be fitted shall comply with the provisions of Marine Order 30 (Prevention of collisions) 2016. Note: Marine Order 30 (Prevention of collisions) 2009 is the Australian implementation of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. This reference is to the performance requirements for navigation lights, navigation shapes and sound signalling equipment in accordance with Marine Order 30 (Prevention of collisions) 2016. New clause (inserted): The performance standards for navigation lights, navigation shapes and sound signals are those mentioned in Marine Order 30 (Prevention of Collisions) 2016. Note: Marine Order 30 implements COLREGs for regulated Australian vessels, domestic commercial vessels and recreational vessels that have Australian nationality, and foreign vessels when those kinds of vessels are situated in specified areas.
