AMSA meets with Consul-General for the Philippines and delegates

This week AMSA welcomed the Consul-General for the Philippines, Mr Aian Caringal, and his delegation when they visited to personally express the nation's appreciation of AMSA's recent assistance.

AMSA recently provided rescue assistance to Filipino seafarers who were onboard the vessel MV Yangtze Fortune which was abandoned by its owners in the waters of Portland, Victoria late last year.
 
Chief Executive Officer Mick Kinley, Executive Director of Operations Michael Drake, and International and Domestic Engagement Advisor Craig Stanley were delighted to welcome the group for a brief on AMSA and its responsibilities, as well as a personal tour of the AMSA Response Centre. 

Australia contributes substantially and continually to maritime safety across the Indo-Pacific region through direct collaboration with dozens of maritime administrations. It is always a pleasure to meet with international delegates and strengthen our working relationship after a successful response.
