Course syllabuses for near coastal certificates

Syllabus documents

These documents lay out the skills and knowledge taught in the courses for each certificate of competency.

Use these to prepare for your practical or oral exams.

Check the “Standards for evaluating competence” column in the document to find out how you'll be expected to show competence in each skill at your RTO.

Coxswain Grade 3, Sailing Master Coastal and Sailing Master Offshore do not have syllabus documents as they are not qualifications offered under the MAR maritime training package.

Master

• Master less than 24 metres

Engineer

• Marine Engine Driver Grade 3
• Marine Engine Driver Grade 2
• Marine Engine Driver Grade 1
• Engineer Class 3

Coxswain
