myAMSA (beta)

Our online application portal for near coastal certificates of competency.

We’re developing a secure online portal so near coastal seafarers can apply for certificates of competency or renew online.

When complete, it will help reduce the time and effort to apply for or renew domestic certificates of competency. We’ll also have guidance and support to help you through the process.

Right now, we’ve launched a beta version of myAMSA for you to test. We’d like your feedback.

A beta is a test version of a product released to a small group of users before the official launch. It helps us check performance, and make improvements based on user feedback.

Have you been asked to try the myAMSA beta?

When using the myAMSA beta to apply for a new or renewed certificate of competency it’s important to note:

  • All transactions in the portal are legitimate.
  • If you’re applying using myAMSA, you don’t need to apply through Australia Post as well – this will create unnecessary duplication.
  • myAMSA beta has new and renewal application functionality. You cannot apply for an endorsement or equivalent certificate using myAMSA beta – this functionality will be available later once myAMSA has officially launched.
