AMSA’s Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC Australia) has been conducting a search for a light aircraft with one person onboard overdue on a flight from Roma to Dysart in Queensland.
The aircraft had not been sighted since departing Roma at approximately 2:50pm (local time) yesterday.
At approximately 3:10pm AEST today the aircraft was sighted within the search area, approximately 100 kilometres north of Roma.
Search teams onsite have confirmed there are no survivors.
Queensland Police are now on scene and continuing further investigations.
