From 1 August to 30 September 2021, we will undertake a Focused Inspection Campaign (FIC) on the safety of navigation requirements for ships arriving at Australian Ports.
The purpose of the focused inspection campaign is to ascertain the level of compliance with the safety of navigation requirements of International Conventions. We will also assess the familiarity of the master and officers with their processes for ensuring safety of navigation.
Inspectors will complete a checklist when conducting focused inspections so that we can collate and report on the outcomes.
