The new app makes it easy for staff to report safety issues in real-time using modern technology - the results show a 100 per cent increase in the reporting of hazards and incidents across the company.

Chair of the AMSA Board of Directors, Stuart Richey, presented the award at a ceremony in Hobart on Friday 8 October and congratulated the winners for their innovative approach to improving safety.

"This award showcases best practice improvements to safety culture - by industry, for industry - which is at the heart of modern safety regulation," Mr Richey said.

"The app makes it easy for people to report safety issues in real time enabling rapid assessment and mitigation to improve the safety of the workforce."

AMSA is proud to sponsor the TSI Safety Award which recognises excellence in developing and maintaining a culture of safety that has contributed substantially towards improving the safety record of the seafood industry.
