Recent incidents involving critical machinery failure have demonstrated the serious consequences that lack of maintenance on ships can pose to the safe and pollution-free operation of vessels.
We have issued a new marine notice about the importance of planned maintenance in ensuring the safe operation of ships. The notice also highlights our current focus on planned maintenance during Port State Control inspections.
