This morning searchers found the wreckage of the aircraft and advised AMSA’s Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC Australia) that the solo pilot had not survived.
Yesterday morning AMSA was advised that a female solo pilot of an ultralight had failed to return from a flight and commenced a search.
Twelve helicopters, an AMSA fixed-wing Dornier aircraft and a police ground party were involved in the search.
AMSA thanks those individuals who assisted in the search.
