Updated rules around the discharge of garbage at sea

A new marine notice is available, outlining the requirements preventing pollution from the discharge of garbage.

The disposal of all garbage into the sea from ships is prohibited, except in some limited circumstances. This includes food wastes, cargo residues, cleaning agents and additives, and mixed garbage. Certain requirements also apply to animal carcasses.
