Working Boats issue 18
The January 2020 edition of Working Boats features some of the innovation and resourcefulness shaping industry.
We look at AMSA’s work to ensure emerging autonomous and remotely controlled vessels in Australia can operate safely. We also feature Paradigm Training’s use of technology in training and assessment and follow the build, delivery and maiden voyage of three new transfer vessels commissioned to boost tourism to Norfolk Island.
Innovation can be as simple as a new approach using existing resources. Mike Keyte’s approach to increasing safety starting with crew induction is a great example.
Read Lindsey Lankester’s amazing story of survival; and AMSA Medical Advisor Dr Paul Luckin’s view on how an individual’s inner resourcefulness can make a difference to their chances of survival.
All this and more …
