Marine order 91 sets out the requirements of the prevention of pollution of the environment by oil for regulated Australian vessels, domestic commercial vessels and Australian recreation vessels including:

  • certificates required to be held by vessels
  • reporting requirements
  • operational requirements for transfer of oil between vessels
  • when a vessel is not permitted to enter a port.
