Marine order 91—Marine pollution prevention—oil

Marine Order 91 (Marine Pollution Prevention) 2014 provides information about preventing polluting oil from entering the marine environment. It sets out the requirements for regulated Australian vessels, domestic commercial vessels and Australian recreation vessels including:

  • certificates required to be held by vessels
  • reporting requirements
  • operational requirements for transfer of oil between vessels
  • when a vessel is not permitted to enter a port.
