You can submit your completed Seafarer form 419 or Certificate of competency application form 426 at participating Australia Post retail outlets.

You can use Seafarer form 419 to apply for international certificates (International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW):

  • Australian Seafarer's Service Book
  • Certificate of competency
  • Certificate of proficiency as rating
  • Certificate of recognition
  • Certificate of safety training
  • Endorsements
  • Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems (GMDSS) radio operator's certificate
  • Replacement of certificate or endorsement
  • Revalidation of certificate or endorsement
  • Sea service assessment
