We have a joint memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority. The MOU supports safety and environmental management for the offshore energy sector.
The MOU sets out how we cooperate to:
- improve work health and safety, structural, well and infrastructure integrity and environmental outcomes
- avoid duplicating activities
- ensure compliance with relevant maritime and offshore legislation and regulations, including offshore electricity.
The MOU commenced November 2025 and remains active unless it is ended.
It provides for regular meetings between senior executives, information sharing and consultation with each other over research, in the preparation of guidelines and more.
