About | The National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) sub-section C7D specifies the minimum requirements for design, selection and testing of anchoring systems for commercial vessels. This standard recognises anchoring systems as safety equipment. This Subsection shall be read in conjunction with:
The anchoring systems specified in this Subsection are suitable only for use in reasonably sheltered conditions or in emergencies such as equipment failure. This Subsection applies to all vessels other than Special Vessels provided for in NSCV Part F of this standard, unless NSCV Part F specifies otherwise. This Subsection does not apply to vessels operating on cables (vessel-in-chain). |
