NSCV F1B provides requirements for the design, construction and operation of category F1 fast craft. 

A category F1 fast craft is: 

• a domestic commercial vessel 
• able to operate at a speed of 25 knots or more 
• Class 1 or Class 2 
• Class A, B, or C for operational area 
• at least 35m in equivalent length
