Safety of Navigation – 1 August - 8 September 2021 AMSA conducted a Safety of Navigation Focused Inspection Campaign (FIC) over the period 1 August to the 8 September 2021. 

On Wednesday 2 August AMSA will be hosting a Safety Management System workshop in Airlie Beach.

We have a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

The purpose of this marine notice is to draw attention to the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Recommendations for the carriage of plastic pellets by sea in freight containers, which were released on 19 April 2024.

The RFL applies to most sea-going vessels operating in Australia. It helps fund the cost of safety activities, such as vessel inspections and surveys.
