  • requirements for renewing, varying, suspending and revoking a certificate
  • key definitions. 
Announcement

We are reviewing this marine order and Part D (Crew competencies) of the National Standard for Commercial Vessels.

Final consultation on a draft Marine order 505 and supporting guidelines is now open. 

We are now asking industry to provide feedback on the proposed final draft marine order and the supporting guidelines. Consultation is open until 14 November 2021. Learn more

Following this final consultation, we aim to have the new domestic commercial vessel qualifications framework and amended Marine order 505 finalised, and ready to come into effect in 2022 with a suitable transition period. 

We will update you via AMSA Update once final timelines for the new marine order have been determined.
