Construction barge safety workshop

Have you got the risks covered? 

Owners and operators of construction barges in Brisbane, Gladstone, Sydney and Fremantle are invited to free workshops about risk and hazard reduction in May 2022.    

These workshops are delivered by AMSA in partnership with WHS agencies, and focus on the risks associated with operating smaller construction barges.  

Details of the workshops are as follows: 

  • 2pm-4pm, 18th May at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, Brisbane  
  • 2pm-4pm, 19th May at Gladstone Yacht Cub, Gladstone  
  • 2pm-4pm, 23rd May at Drummoyne Sailing Club, Sydney 
  • 2pm-4pm, 25th May at the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle 

Broadly, the workshops will cover:  

  • need to know risk assessment information to make your vessel a safer place to work  
  • how to meet your National Law and state and territory WHS legal obligations.
