Apply to be a member of the National Safety Committee and/or a Regional Safety Committee

The National Safety Committee (NSC) and Regional Safety Committees (RSC) were established in 2020 as a forum for AMSA to engage directly with domestic commercial vessel (DCV) industry stakeholders.

We encourage those wishing to make a lasting contribution to DCV safety through representation on the NSC or an RSC to submit an online Expression of interest form below.

The form can be used to express interest in either the NSC or an RSC.

Please refer to the Terms of reference before you submit your expression of interest to ensure you address the requirements.

Review our Regional and National Safety Committees webpage to learn more about the committes and their work.

Expressions of interest for the NSC/RSC

NSC

Expressions of interest to the NSC will be considered by AMSA against you and your organisation’s ability to demonstrate the following:

  • a strong commitment to improving safety
  • representation of a defined industry sector, including level of national reach
  • regular communication with an established network within the sector you represent
  • appropriate knowledge and experience in the sector.

RSC

We have RSC representation in each state and territory, except the Australian Capital Territory.

Application to the RSCs is open to organisations and sole operators in each region with:

  • a passion for improving safety
  • representation of a defined sector within your region
  • appropriate knowledge and experience in the sector.

Applications that also reflect a strong culture of inclusion and diversity in your organisation will be looked upon favourably.
